Our Favorite Thanksgiving

Happy November from the Florida Keys Home Team! As the holidays begin we want to bring you the best things happening around the Keys & our favorite things to do during the month of November.
November is a special time of year in the Florida Keys, with cooler temperatures and plenty of sunshine. There are many events and activities to enjoy during this month.
One of the most popular is the annual Key West World Championship Powerboat Races, which take place in the middle of November. This thrilling event brings some of the world's best powerboat racers to compete for the championship title.
For those who prefer a more laid-back experience, it is also a great time to explore the natural beauty of the Keys. The cooler temperatures are perfect for hiking and exploring the many state parks and nature reserves in the area. You can also take a leisurely bike ride along the new Pidgeon Key Bridge or spend a day fishing in the crystal-clear waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Overall, November is a wonderful time to visit the Florida Keys and enjoy all that this beautiful destination has to offer. Whether you're looking for excitement and adventure or relaxation and natural beauty, you're sure to find it here.

is complete without a mouthwatering appetizer. These Cranberry Brie Bites are my favorite thing to cook when it comes to cooking on Thanksgiving Day. If your looking for a quick easy appetiser that will knock your guests socks off this is it
No Thanksgiving feast
Ingredients
1 Package pre-made Phyllo cups
Walnuts (nuts of choice)
4 Ounces of Brie Cheese (cut in cubes)
Fresh Rosemary Springs for Garnish
1/2 cup of Cranberry Sauce
- Pre- heat your oven to 350 degrees
- Spray the baking sheet with non stick spray
- Add a Small amount of brie cheese into each phyllo cup
- Top each cup with a teaspoon of cranberry sauce and a few walnuts
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minute, or until cheese is melted and the phyllo cups are golden brown
- Remove from the oven and let cool
- Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs

The Key West Boat Races are one of the most exciting races to come to town! 3 days of racing on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Come see top-tier powerboat racing, vendors, music, and entertainment.
Wednesday November 8th - Sunday November 12th
The best Gala of the year! Tickets start at $200 per person and include live music, dancing, a silent and live auction, appetizers, and a delicious dinner. All procedes go to MarrVelous Pet Rescue’s adoption, spay & neuter costs, and animal care services.
Friday November 10, 2023 6:30 PM - 11:00 PM
This vibrant monthly event takes place in Islamorada on the third Thursday of each month. From visual art that are available to purchase to live music and drinks this is one of the best community events of each month.
Thursday, November 16th
Purchase local art, sip local beers, and have a great time meeting new people.
Boats and Boots concert will take place in Key West at the Truman Waterfront “Coffee Butler” Amphitheater. Performances by Cliff Cody, The Wolf Love Bank, Sam Carlson, and The Key West Kings. General Admission beginin at $25.00. Tickets should be purchased ahead of time.

CLEAN YOUR A/C DRAIN LINES
Your AC works hard for you every day here in Florida! Cooler days are ahead but you want to ensure that your AC is working at peak performance since those days wont be coming for the next few months. Place 2 tablespoons of white vinegar in the drain line at your interior unit to help work out and clean up the slime that is in there. If you are having trouble with the lines draining or your automatic shut off keeps tripping, make sure you use a small shop vac (wet/dry vac) and suck out anything that may be stuck in there!
